 
Channing Enterprises is a corporation formed by Richard Channing, the major stockholder, in 1988. The corporation owns several subsidiaries, including the New San Francisco Globe, Channing News, Channing Productions, the Sacramento Clarion, the Tuscany Shopper, the Eureka Sun as well as several other publications - all of which used to be independant companies before they were acquired by the holding. The corporation went bankrupt in 1989.
